Underarm Crutches
In addition, our supply company also sells and rents underarm or axillary crutches. Our
underarm crutches are made of lightweight aluminum, rests under your arm, and are often used for patients with temporary injuries.

The pad of an underarm crutch should rest two to three finger widths away from the fold of the armpit. To use the underarm crutch, you should grip the bar across the crutch with your hand so that your elbow is bent allowing your arms to support your weight while walking.

Forearm Crutc
hesWe also supply forearm crutches, which are shorter than underarm crutch and consists of a cuff that fits around the arm an inch below the elbow. When using, you should grip the crutch while bending your elbows at a greater degree than when using an underarm crutch.
